The Challenge

This handsome farm house in Belchertown, MA was built in 1825. The owner contacted us requesting a covered front entry. Additionally, there were damaged clapboards surrounding the front door that needed replacement due to their direct exposure to sun, wind, and weather.

What We Did

The new portico provides shelter from the elements and adds low-maintenance safety and security to the home’s primary entrance with the addition of an overhead light fixture, new vinyl handrails on either side of the stairs, and slip-resistant, composite stair treads that won’t warp, freeze, or splinter from exposure to New England weather. The house retained it’s charming character while improving it’s functionality and curb appeal.

  • All looks fantastic and I love it. Feedback in the neighborhood is all positive.
